UPDATE: December 1, 2017.

I met the daughter of Joe Vitolo. Her name is Maria.  She shared many new details about the apparitions which I will post here.

UPDATE: March 16, 2020:
Sacerdotus visited the Shrine to offer prayers for those suffering from the Coronavirus outbreak. While streaming online for all to view, something mysterious was caught. A light humanoid form appeared briefly and disappeared.  The form looks like how Joseph Vitolo described Our Lady of the Universe (dressed in white and of short stature; about 5 feet tall).  Here is a video and screen captures:

UPDATE: APRIL 29, 2020
God-willing and weather permitting, I will be going to the shrine to join our Holy Father Pope Francis and the bishops of the world in consecrating The Bronx and the world to Our Lady.

UPDATE: May 1, 2020
Today, the Bronx and the world was consecrated to Our Lady of the Universe.  The rain began to slow and stopped as the consecration took place.

On April 13, 2021, we have a Consecration of the Bronx and World to Our Lady of the Universe and her spouse St. Joseph whose year we celebrate in 2021.  The consecration took place at the Shrine of Our Lady Queen of the Universe in The Bronx on the Grand Concourse.

UPDATE June 30, 2024 

Unfortunately we have some bad news. We had gotten an email some time ago stating that the Shrine of Our Lady of the Universe was closed or blocked. At the time we were not in the Bronx to confirm this. However, recently, we were able to go to the Bronx and confirm that yes in fact the shrine's entrance which is shared by the adjacent abandoned home is indeed blocked.  Apparently, an Indian medical professional purchased the property (brown house) and is possibly looking to demolish it, renovate it into a home or medical clinic.  

So as it stands, that property is boarded up blocking the entrance to the shine.  According to Joseph Vitolo's daughter, a family friend had owned the property but never sold it to Vitolo's family nor offered to give it pro-bono so the shrine could be protected.  That property has an entrance that leads to the shrine but is not part of the property that the Vitolo family owns. So now there is a dilemma.  We will try to reach out to Maria (Joe's daughter) to see what is going on and what are the plans for the shrine in the future. We hope and pray it is not torn down and developed on.
